Too much, too much

I have been overloaded over the past couple of weeks in terms of wanting to do creative things.  I keep seeing awesomeness everywhere and thinking 'that would be fun to make/draw/do' and set about starting a new project, only to think of something more worthy to spend my time on. It's not necessarily just because of the warmer weather and being out and about a lot more.  It has even become a matter of taking the odd screen shot of inspirational imagery while sitting around my bed watching movies/tv too.  It feels nice to be into constant drawing and making again, but a little but frantic all at once as I am lacking direction a bit.

Screen shot from 'That 70's Show' featuring a too-hard-to-resist knit design.

One project I was able to sink my teeth into over the past month has been creating small ornamental storage boxes using scientific wire and different coloured yarn during Full Drop's Harvest residency.  It was great to work on this project within the space, often with a lot of curiosity from passers by.  There is a fairly large elderly population in East Brunswick (where the Harvest studio is based), and I ended up getting a few lovely local ladies recognising the knit machine I was using.  It was great to have little chats about clothes they knitted in the 70s.

Fun times!
